Default [Solo Farm] Ritualist Construct + Stoneroot Tanglebranch

IMPORTANT: This build requires support from the NPC's at the Res shine!

Pre-Notes:

Me and colleague decided to do a 2 man farm for stoneroot’s shield (and kaolin’s wand as a bonus), however for the 15 or so runs that we got a drop of 3 shields and 1 wand, all of which was assigned to him, he wasn’t willing to share which was out of order! So I raged quit on him and block him…. then I went out there on my own.
I soloed them both easy using my 55mo, but not everyone is fortunate enough to own the equipment nor have the experience required.

Conditions: [Important]
To solo this with a non 55 build you MUST be able to enlist the support of the NPC’s outside of unwaking waters, meaning you must have more kurzick points than luxons.

Equipment
Armour:
Prophercies= Scar Pattern
Factions = Cabalist

Weapon Set 1:
Green Wayward Wand [Curse Recharge 20%/ Energy +5 >50&]
Green Plagueblinder [Curse+1 (20%)/ Health +30HP]

Weapon Set 2:
Anything that has +60hp in total

The build:
Class:
Necromancer/ Mesmer

Attributes:
Curses: 16 (12+3+1)
Inspiration: 12
Blood: 4 (3+1)

Skillset:
1/ Spiteful Spirit
2/ Price of Failure
3/ Reckless Haste
4/ Spirit Shackles
5/ Energy Tap
6/ Shatter Enchantment
7/ Leech Signet
8/ Awaken the Blood

Skills 1-4 are your main dmg for ritualist construct, (1-3 for stoneroot), 5-7 is mainly to help you kill the boss’s minions – leech signet is only used for the accursed ritualist that decides to resurrect his team mates. 8 is to boost your dmg output.

Strategy:
Warp to Unwaking Waters [Kurzick] and head out, both boss's are right infront of you... well maybe not ... stone root is abit further down but not too much, easy to find, no map required.

Ritualist Construct:
Use the terrain to kill this boss and his minions, the first group is relatively easy to take out, all you need to do is lure the first group closer to the npcs (so they can heal you and help you fend them off), your FIRST TARGET in that group is the warrior or assassin! Why? Well simply put he can own you! Cast the curse chain on him then you can switch to the monk or ritualist.

Killing the boss, well you have two options you can either lure him to the monk npc and attack him there, this boss’s dmg output is nothing compared to the monk’s healing abilities so that won’t be a problem (its what I prefer) the other alternative is use the rocks to the left from where he is, use that as shelter for his dmg and then begin your spell chain from there, this boss dies relatively fast and doesn’t drop that often. (never dropped for me!)

Stoneroot Tanglebranch:
Please note that the monk npc at the res shine must be alive in order to pull this of! Why? Well your going to tank them all! I know that’s insane but trust me it will work!
Right, time to go and lure that group, pull them all back slowly, when you reach the point where the ritualist construct boss was initially, start casting spiteful spirit on the warriors in that group (leave the boss for now), he should have two or three warrior minions with him.
Keep walking back until you get to the npc’s once your there your spells should be recharged and you should have been able to cast of two spiteful spirit’s on his minions, this will allow you focus casting the final spell chain on stoneroot, it is important that you focus your attention on him once your at the npc, ignore everything else that is bashing you, the npc monk will take care of you, but if you do have time you can recast SS on the warrior creatures (but there should be no need), as they should be close to death when it wears of.

NOTES:

This may sound complicated on paper but it isn’t, you may have to go through several attempts before you get use to it, and it is very important that the npc monks are alive, if the npc monk is dead you will only be able to kill the ritualist construct, you need the monk for stoneroot.
This is better done in a two man farming party but it is possible to do this alone.

I think you should explain more in depth on how to use the NPC priest.
There was another guide that focused on having it follow you however it wasn't very detailed on how to do it.

The other guide mentioned that you need the SAME amount of points for Kurzick and Luxon. That way the Priest will not get bashed by the mobs.

As of current I have 250 more Kurzick point and the Priest keeps getting bashed everytime I try to lure him out.

I think the difference between this guide and the other guide using the Priest is that, with this one, you are luring all the mobs towards the priest/shrine. The other guide was for the whole section of the map, so you wanted the priest to follow you.

This guide sounds pretty good. I will give it a try with my Necro later on tonight.

Thank you.

well to answer your questions :

first didnt know there was another guide otherwise i wouldn't have bothered typing all that out! .. oh well. [search feature didnt work]

second, well you don't need really need any faction points to activate the priest, he'll heal you regardless of whether your higher in kurzick or luxon, but its ideal to have the shrine activated in the event that you do die (you can still do it with up to 30% dp) and having the npc warriors help take the aggro off.

third, to lure to the priest all you have to do is get the group of enemies that you wish to lure into your aggro circle, they will then start chasing you, to ensure that they don't run back, you walk backwards until they get half way to you, then you can start legging it.

fourth, enemies will bash the priest if you are too close to him, the key is to line the edge of your aggro circle with the priest, that way your not too close so that the enemies will bash him, and your not too far so he can still heal you.

takes some getting use to, but you'll get the hang of it after a few runs.

Actually if you have more Luxon points and pay 50g to use the shrine the npc priest will heal you, while the enemy will not target them, but when that occurs, the Kurzick guards won't help you kill them.

Wait, let me get this straight. If I was to have more Luxon points, I am able to pay only 50GP and have the priest heal me. In the mean time, the priest will not get targeted? So the priest can be right next to me and the enemy and the priest will be out of harms way?

He heals you no matter what, even if you have more Luxon faction.

However, the enchantment he gives with more kurz faction is so awesome. (Says just +25 health, but it's also +3 regen)
